Linwoods Tasty Flaxseed Bars
60g / 2 dessert spoonfuls of Linwoods Milled Organic Flaxseed
115g Margarine
170g Oatmeal
115g Brown Sugar
60g Flour
170g Fruit Jam
 
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Mix margarine and brown sugar
Add oatmeal, flour and flaxseed.
Extract 170g of this mixture for topping.
Coat a pan with non-stick cooking spray or Margarine
Place the mixture into a pan.
Spread the fruit jam over the mixture with in 1cm from the side of the pan
Pour the rest of the reserved mixture over the top of the jam.
Bake 25 – 30 minutes in the oven 375 degrees.
 
Makes Appx 16 servings.

Mighty Mix Cookies.
 
125g Linwoods Milled Organic Flaxseed and Goji Berries.
100g Magarine or Butter
60g Oats
70g Self Raising Flour
45g Sugar
1ml Vanilla Flavouring
Melted Chocolate and Fruit for decoration
 
Makes Appx 12 cookies.
 
Melt the Margarine or Butter
Mix the Flour, Oats, Sugar, Linwoods Flax & Goji Mix together.
Add the dry ingredients to the melted margarine and mix together
until the ingredients are bound together.
Roll out the mix on lightly floured surface to a thickness of about 2cm
Cut out the cookies and place on a non stick baking tray
Bake in a preheated oven at 190°C for approx 20 mins or until golden brown
Remove from oven, allow to cool and decorate with fruit and melted chocolate.

Linwoods Super Porridge!
 
½ cup of dry oat meal
1 cup of water
2 dessert spoonfuls of Linwoods Milled Organic Flax, Sesame, Sunflower and Pumpkin Seeds and Goji Berries.
½ cup of Blueberries
 
Mix oatmeal, water, and Linwoods Flax, Sesame, SunFlower, Pumpkin
& Goji Berries.
Microwave on HIGH for approximately 2 to 3 min.
Add Blueberries and enjoy!

Linwoods Delicious Milled Sunflower & Pumpkin seed Scones

(makes 20 small scones)
500g plain all-purpose flour
3g ground cinnamon
5g baking powder
5g baking soda
3g tsp salt
115g cold unsalted butter, diced
115g Linwoods Milled Organic Sunflower & Pumpkin Seeds
¼ pint buttermilk
¼ pint honey
220g orange juice
Egg Mix
1 egg
1 tbsp milk or cream

Preheat oven to 180°C. Line a baking tray with grease proof paper.
In a large bowl, sift together flour, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
Using a blender, cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse meal.
Mix in Linwoods Milled Organic sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds until they have been well coated in flour.
Make a well in the centre of the bowl.
Mix together orange juice, buttermilk and honey in a separate measuring cup and then pour all at once into the dry ingredients. Mix well
Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and roll out to approximately 3cm (30mm) in thickness. Using a cutter, cut out as many portions of dough as possible. Re-roll leftover dough and cut out more portions until all of the dough has been used up.

Place scones on the prepared baking tray at least 5cm apart. Whisk together egg and 1 tbsp milk and use this to brush the tops of the scones. Allow the scones to rest for about 10 minutes.
Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes.
Remove from oven and transfer to wire rack to cool.

For a boost of Iron and Protein to your daily diet add Goji berries to create a delicious and highly nutritious fruit smoothie
Blend together for a few seconds’ equal amounts of Goji Berries, blueberries, cherries, apples, raspberries and blackberries. Add a cup of water, rice milk, or orange juice for easier blending. To add a special touch dust the top of juice with cinnamon or cocoa powder and a light sprinkle of chopped pine nuts and serve.

Linwoods Flax, Sunflower and Pumpkin Granola – Like Breakfast.
 
Enjoy home – made granola with the extra nutritious boost of Linwoods Healthy Super Foods.
8 dessert spoonfuls (Appx 120g) Linwoods Milled Organic Flax, Sunflower & Pumpkin.
4 cups of rolled oats
¼ cup fresh apple juice
cinnamon to taste
1 cup fresh fruit
 
Combine the Linwoods Milled Organic Flax, Sunflower & Pumpkin with the oats. Divide in 2 equal portions.
Soak one portion with the apple juice.
Place both portions in the refrigerator overnight.
Stir the portions together. Add cinnamon and fresh fruit
Top with yoghurt.
